The MM has category responsibility for Tops or Bottoms and SVL clarity in executing lifestyle merchandising. Divisional accountability for sales and profit. One eye view of merchandise assortment. Synthesizes and analyzes customer and competitive information that feeds the SVL.
- Accountable for defined areas of responsibility as well as lifestyle results.
- Intimate knowledge of customer profile and requirements
- Develops, communicates and tracks the team against the SVL (strategic view of the line)
- Co-authors the Lifestyle and Product specific SVL’s (strategic view of the line)
- Bring customer and market perspective to the Design and Product development process
- Ability to identify key trends from fashion runway shows and marketplace
- Actively searches the market for new 3rd party resources that will augment the Brand’s assortment
- Manages associates in ways that create a positive work environment
