The Procurement Buyer, under the direction of the Procurement Manager, supports the department at a tactical/transactional/strategic level. Works closely with all areas of the business to deliver strategic buying solutions to drive down costs and deliver high quality products and services. 


Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: 3 - 5


Preferred Qualifications (skills and abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain or equivalent experience
  • Certified Purchasing Manager accreditation preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships of trust and credibility with internal customers that lead to stronger buy-in and commitment within customer groups
  • Ability to effectively respond to and follow through on commitments – consistently meets or exceeds commitments with a focus on quick turnaround
  • Proven track record and reputation for achieving results through an emphasis on detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence others by presenting recommendations based on customer and cross-functional knowledge
  • Organized and able to prioritize and monitor progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives
  • Ability to analyze situations and solve problems
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS office including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
