The Express Marketing and Customer Analytics team is responsible for providing high-quality analytical work in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
The team’s areas of focus are: brand’s marketing spend optimization, understanding the behavior of our customers, store/campaign testing & optimization, analyzing campaign results, and provide business performance reporting. This team also works cross-functionally across the entire business, as well as with outside vendors.
The individual in this role will support the overall team as the liaison with the Customer Data Hub (CDH) team in IT. The Analyst will be the leader in the business requirements gathering and documentation for all customer data impacting projects. This role will act as an internal consultant and subject matter expert, providing business process expertise.
-Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal partners to analyze information needs and requirements and create/maintain project documentation: Scope Documents, Business Requirement Documents, Consumer Interaction Flows, and Use Cases.
-Developing relationships and integrating activities with others to ensure successful implementation and support of projects
-Define business requirements for new data in the CDH to support marketing programs and measurement by the Analytics Team.
-Work with other members of the analytics team & business partners to define business requirements for new data, data enhancements, and system enhancements for CDH and other tools, including user tools like Adobe Campaign and Microstrategy.
-Perform testing of CDH data, working closely with IT groups and other members of Marketing and Customer Analytics team.
-Manages multiple concurrent projects and priorities
-Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master’s degree
-3-5 years of IT Business Analyst, database/analytical experience, or similar role
-Organized, able to act independently, and able to adapt rapidly in a fast-paced environment
-Business analysis and requirements elicitation and documentation experience required
-Ability to work in a iterative environment
-Ability to collaborate effectively and actively with marketing and IT teams
-Strong database skills, including SQL
-Strong knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
-Capable with other Microsoft Office products
-Retail experience desired
-Knowledge of Big Data platforms including Hadoop and or the Hortonworks tech stack, a plus
