An assortment planner, in partnership with the merchant and financial merchandise planner, is responsible for developing the bottom-up item level assortment plans that balance to class level plans. The assortment planner provides receipt, productivity and sales targets (dollars and units) to the merchant at the style level. Clear execution and communication of the strategies will ensure collaboration between the financial merchandise plans and style level buys to maximize sales, profit, and inventory turnover.
