    Responsibilities

    The Finance Director is responsible for analyzing / evaluating alternative financial plans, developing long-range plans, and conducting decision support analyses; and, is responsible for providing cross-functional financial analysis and support to the organization. Analyzes / interprets trends and presents findings / recommendations. Establishes budgetary goals, profit recommendations, and expense and cost savings opportunities.

     

    Essential Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Advanced degree, CPA or MBA in Finance, preferred
    • Experience: 10-15 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility within the finance function.

           

    Preferred Requirements (skills and abilities)

    • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, experience in both operational and corporate finance preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to add value to an organization through general business analysis leading to operational change.
    • A strong results orientation; proven project management skills and the ability to deliver results on time.
    • Flexibility and the ability to deal with ambiguity; this individual will bring business maturity to situations.
    • Personal initiative; this person will be energetic, a “self-starter” and proactive in terms of recommending ideas and courses of action.
    • Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization; this individual will be perceived as a leader among peers and able to influence senior executives on new ways of doing things. Simultaneously, he/she will be open to the input of others.
    • Retail experience preferred.
