    The Quality Assurance Automation Analyst works to maintain a suite of automation scripts that can cover functional, system integration (SIT), soak, performance testing and regression testing phases. The position also executes, monitors and prepares findings/reports that are sent to interested IT and Business parties.


    This work is done by working closely with a team that consist of the Performance Engineer, Senior QA Automation Analyst, Business Users, QA Analysts along with application development teams, infrastructure teams, Release Managers and subject matter experts.


    Essential Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IS, IT, CS or equivalent experience
    • 1-3 years experience with software automation testing with tools such as JMETER, BlazeMeter and Selenium
    • Experience testing HTTP, HTTPS, XML, SQL, REST API
    • Strong skills with
      • Linux and Windows based servers
      • Object oriented programming experience with Java
    • Demonstrated ability to review business requirements and translate into testing plans and scripts
    • Experience editing manual and automated test scripts
    • Experience documenting, diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving quality issues
    • Experience using application performance monitoring tools such as Solar Winds and New Relic
    • Experience with creating mock data and manipulating data and executing database queries using SQL to validate data and metrics via scripts and programming.
    • Experience monitoring automation scripts as they are running
    • Experience using Reporting Tools such as New Relic and SolarWinds to assess the test script results
    • Experience working with vendors through test lifecycle and to ensure SLA compliance
    • Detailed organizational and coordination skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly; in writing, using instant message, by phone and in person with business users, IT development groups, and external vendors
    • Ability to build test plans and estimate testing effort for cross functional projects
    • Ability to understand business processes and integration of those processes into the systems to ensure complete end to end testing of software
    • Proven problem solving, training, and analytical skills


    Preferred Requirements (skills and abilities)

    • Experience in the retail industry a plus
