    Job Summary 

     

    The "Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence" team is the technology team responsible for defining, storing, managing and provisioning the data structures required to support the enterprise with consumption through various Business Intelligence platforms in a fast-paced and fluid environment. Individuals on this team:

    • Lead Technology design, development, implementation, and support efforts to establish solutions for providing the business with consumption capabilities of structured Enterprise Information across all Functional Areas of the business
    • Monitor and manage performance of the associated technology implementation
    • Provide stable, scalable, and recoverable solutions
    • Discover and Analyze opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Communicate insights to business leaders
    • Work cross-functionally with all other areas of IT and the business

     

    Job Requirements

     

    Role and Responsibilities:

     

    The Business Analyst - Data Warehouse will – 

    • Interview end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance
    • Work with EDW solution engineer to translate requirements into technical specifications and document the requirements
    • Recommend appropriate scope of requirements and priorities
    • Help identify and assess potential data sources
    • Coordinate prototype reviews and gather prototype feedback
    • Validate that deliverables meet requirements and service level agreements
    • Provide support and troubleshooting for all related systems and technologies. This includes being a point of contact for business users

     

    Responsibilities –

    • Educate end users on EDW capabilities and overall functionality. Assist users in finding the right information
    • Analyze business requirements and work with production data to validate business requirements
    • Map business requirements to subject area model and to logical enterprise model.
    • Identify and document business and data transformation rules
    • Develop necessary reports
    • Design access structures and classify business users by type. Develop access standards.
    • Define and get agreement with business users on service-level agreements
    • Plan and execute acceptance testing
    • Design training infrastructure and materials. Write users' guide.
    • Train BI users
    • Design and implement support plan
    • Operates with minimal supervision; self starter

     

    Required Skills –

    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Fluent in MS Office Product suit (Word, Excel, Visio etc.)
    • Proficient in SQL and experience in analyzing the logical data models.
    • Experience and good at conflict resolution and managing priority conflicts
    • Experience in defining and documenting clear and elaborate functional requirements
    • Experience in translating functional requirements into technical specifications
    • Experience of working in complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Experience of writing training materials, user’s guide and training end users on BI platform

     

    Preferred Skills –

    • Experience as Business Analyst in Enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence function
    • Experience in project estimation techniques and cost-to-benefit analysis
    • Experience with Atlassian software and collaboration tools is a plus

     

     

    Work Experience and Education:

    • 7+ years of Business Analyst experience in Retail industry
    • Minimum four years degree in Information Systems or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience
