The Senior Insights Analyst is responsible for participating in the development of long-term strategies necessary to achieve profitable sales growth in the business through analysis of white space opportunities, market expansion opportunities and market sizing. As well as analyzing performance to identify trends and opportunities through monthly reporting and must have ability to convert data into actionable story and data visualization, this includes analysis of stores, customer and overall company results.


Business Analytics:

  • Create and use analytical models to assess the impact of potential strategic projects and initiatives, as well as identify opportunities for improvement to existing operations
  • Perform large scale data analysis and modeling to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the impact of initiatives to make noticeable improvements based on impact and feedback.
  • Identify and prioritize top challenges and key strategic growth opportunities
  • Create and use analytical models to assess the impact of potential strategic projects and initiatives, as well as identify opportunities for improvement to existing operations
  • Responsible for financial analysis and executive summaries of financial results
  • Participate in the establishment of measurement plans for each project, and the assessment of projects after they have been deployed


Customer Analytics:

  • Analyze customer and store base around customer growth, attrition, buying behavior and channel usage performance to recommend opportunities. Develop understanding of profitability metrics associated with performance in these areas.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and product performance based on customer and channel analytics.
  • Assist in development of various customer models including customer lifetime value, RFM segmentation, behavioral segmentation, etc.


Store Analytics:

  • Includes understanding the local store trade areas and conducting a detailed analysis around store performance through the lens of the customer
  • Provide recommendations for store optimization (closure, conversion, opening, etc.)
  • Assist in developing store segmentation / cluster analysis to analyze store performance vs. peers


Ad-Hoc Projects:

  • Partner with marketing, ecommerce, store ops, and finance to ensure alignment of customer analytics with the business strategy. Provides support around business case analysis driven by the various teams. 
  • Convert business questions into key insights and actions by extracting data from existing data sources as well as summarizing the findings for business partners.
  • Perform maintenance on existing reporting and provide any additional requirements or changes needed.



  • Possesses strong knowledge of the business, including the business plan, products, processes and revenue streams.
  • Provides guidance to less experience analysts. Works with team to achieve department objectives.

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field of study or Marketing with equivalent quantitative work experience, master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Typically requires minimum of 5-7+ years work experience. 
    • 1-2 years of business intelligence/data analysis related experience in industry.
  • Tools:
    • Usage of an analytic/BI tools such as APT, Adobe Analytics, Microstrategy, R, Python, etc.
    • Usage of visualization tools such as Tableau
    • Knowledge with programming languages such as SQL
    • Strong knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
    • Capable with other Microsoft Office products
