    The Loss Prevention Investigator part-time role is responsible for preventing and improving shrink by conducting external investigations, identifying dishonest employees, and training store employees.


    -Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters without the immediate support of a Loss Prevention Team
    -Ensure proper preparation, maintenance, and retention of all reports, evidence, files, and records by company guidelines and local jurisdiction
    -Have the ability to make complex and challenging decisions in stressful environments
    -Assist supervisors in internal investigations by utilizing industry standard systems
    -Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
    -Work in the assigned area completing tasks and assignments as directed by the Loss Prevention Manager
    -Testify in criminal proceedings (when required)
    -Develop and maintain positive working relationships with members of the Management Team, local officials, and agencies
    -Participate in the onboarding of new associates
    -Assist in the development and managing of 3rd party guards

    Additional Supplemental/Developmental Duties

    -Investigate and address subjects for retail theft and/or fraud
    -Work with Organized Retail Crime Manager to identify ORC groups within assigned market

    Skills and experience
    -Two to three years of loss prevention apprehension and recovery experience
    -Ability to Travel within an assigned market area
    -Ability to work nights & weekends
    -Work with Loss Prevention Manager to produce a schedule made a month in advance, and work up to 32 hours a week in a part-time capacity
    -Must be able to stand/walk sales floor for multiple hours at a time.
    -Express is seeking professional individuals who are self-motivated, with excellent communication skills
    -Must be generally proficient with technology that is used to report external/internal cases, along with articulating emails in a professional manner.
