    Responsibilities

    Job Duties: 

     

    Work closely with other software craftsman, product owners, and business analysts to improve the business, performance, and customer satisfaction of express.com and the internal applications that support it. More specifically:

     

    • Write high-quality test-driven code;
    • Perform software development (program design, coding, testing, debugging);
    • Provide technical consulting/mentorship while demonstrating advanced technical expertise in AEM development and enterprise application integration ;
    • Design and Implement new templates and components for the Adobe AEM/CQ product;
    • Mentor other developers using AEM best practices;
    • Be a customer advocate - think of the customer in all requirements and projects;
    • Lead other members of the development team as well as product owners and business analysts to define functional and technical requirements;
    • Lead in the estimation process allowing the team to provide high quality estimates;
    • Assist end users in resolving and identifying system issues by defining application knowledge and technical expertise;
    • Take ownership of appropriate solutions including risk analysis and work estimates;
    • Take ownership of system enhancements, patches or upgrades necessary to support system stability and performance;
    • Provide on-call support for eCommerce platform;
    • Lead scope engagement by providing detailed development time estimates;
    • Design, implement and debug JavaScript from the browser to the server;
    • Problem solve and solution with Creative, UX and backend engineers;
    • Ensure best practices are followed for AEM and DAM usage;

     

    Job requirements:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    • 5 years of experience in the field.
    • 5 years' experience developing applications, templates, and components for the Adobe AEM/CQ product (WCM, DAM, CQSE, CRX).
    • 5 years’ experience customizing workflows and integration with other enterprise systems.
    • Knowledge of the following: Apache Sling, Apache Felix, Apache and App server logs, OSGi, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS
    • 5 years’ experience with web technologies like HTML, Java, JavaScript, and CSS
    • Conceptual understanding of Content Delivery Networks like Akamai, their utility in offloading traffic and its implications on caching etc.
    • Knowledge of the retail industry.
    • Knowledge of enterprise-class Java eCommerce engine (ATG, WebSphere, Hybris).
    • Knowledge of AEM Sites 6.x.
    • Knowledge of overall AEM architecture and best practices.
    • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and related technologies.
    • 5 years experience with CMS including: Oracle Web Center, Fatwire, Adobe Experience Manager, CQ5, Hippo, Roller, WordPress.
