    The Insights Director will lead the Express Data Insights team, responsible for increasing the maturity of the team from ad-hoc to continuously optimizing. This position will collaborate with business leaders across eCommerce, Marketing and Logistics, to create an analytics infrastructure where automated insights and predictive models are an integral part of all business actions.  The primary function of the team is to provide insight through various types of analysis of large sets of cross-platform data, driving data-informed decision making. These opportunities are function and department agnostic and are focused on improving overall business performance. Additionally, this position will use analytics and advanced analytics to drive enterprise-wide data-driven decision making by analyzing data and presenting actionable insights to senior leadership.


    Essential Requirements


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 10+ years’ experience in Retail, Data Analytics, and Information Management.
    • Demonstrable experience in implementing quantitative methods to solve retail business cases.
    • A solid understanding of leading edge technologies and best practices such as Hadoop and Big Data
    • Familiarity of Agile methodologies
    • Ability to make technology selection decisions, by balancing technology, fit for purpose, cost and skillsets
    • Strong understanding of SQL, R, and Python
    • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to manage a technical team and prioritize multiple projects at one time. Evidence of strong team leadership, committed to each individual’s development.
    • Comfortable in a growing company that is still evolving its methods, priorities and resources.
