    Responsibilities

    Job Summary 

    Express is looking for an energetic team player who is not afraid to tackle a challenge, roll up their sleeves, and get dirty. This opportunity is for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic team applying highly specialized knowledge of software engineering and development to analyze, design, develop, test, and support web-based and client-server applications. We are looking for an individual with a solid technical foundation and excellent communication skills.

     

     

    Essential Tasks

     

    • Develop and modify complex application programs from detailed specifications, including coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining programs;
    • Direct partnerships with the IT business analysts on new initiatives, documenting technical specifications, testing and implementing systems changes;
    • Provide steady state support, configuration and maintenance of Production & sourcing systems in conjunction with third party partners;
    • Assist subject matter experts with analyzing data flows for system improvement opportunities within the business;
    • Assist other software developers with analyzing code for system developments and improvements;
    • Assist end users in identifying and resolving system issues by providing application knowledge and expertise;
    • Monitor and resolve system performance issues;
    • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical customers and non-technical issues with technical customers
    • Generate user documentation;
    • Ensure alignment between business process and system specifications;
    • Provide leadership and partnership in testing, ensuring quality data and stable systems;
    • Participate in 24x7 on-call support activities
    • Other essential tasks may occur as directed by your supervisor

     

     

    Job Requirements

     

    “Must Have” Skills & Technologies:

    • 3+ years of experience working with basic languages and technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SQL, GIT, jQuery
    • 3+ years of experience working with: Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, MSSQL, Eclipse, NetBeans, SOAP and RESTful web services.
    • 3+ years of experience with project management including experience in scope evaluation, developing test schedules, scenario scripts, and validation.

     

    “Nice to Have” Additional Skills & Technologies

    • ASP.NET development, Visual Studio, C#, Razor, Bootstrap, DevOps experience,

     

    Work Experience & Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in IS, Engineering (any subspecialty), Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years’ progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the field.  Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s Degree in IS, Engineering (any subspecialty), Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years’ experience in the field.

    • Excellent organization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; attention to detail balanced with command of big picture
