The Sr. Software Developer role specific to Business Intelligence Reporting & Analytics specific. It is responsible for developing & maintaining robust enterprise level solutions using Looker and other technologies. This is a hands-on technical role that involves a variety of tasks; starting with seeking reporting requirements from functional partners all the way to deploying solutions in a full software development life cycle. The role regularly interacts with other IT partners in teams belonging to Data Warehouse, Integration, POS, Planning & Allocation, Store Operations and Finance in understanding and identifying data requirements. In addition to deploying new solutions, the role requires Administration of BI Platforms, troubleshooting and enhancement of existing solutions.

• Engage in design, development, testing, deployment, enhancements and troubleshooting of Business Intelligence Technology solutions.
• Collaborate with business partners, project management and cross-functional technology teams on requirements & design to build new BI solutions or enhancement of existing ones.
• Identify and ensure that data sources and integrations can support the need of BI Solutions and document any gaps.
• Use the Looker platform and other BI technologies like MicroStrategy to deliver business reports and analytics
• Proficiency in all stages of Looker development, from data modeling to deploying production-ready dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of LookML
• Perform code reviews to ensure all solutions meet architectural, functional and performance requirements.
• Participates in 24/7 production support activity with the team
• Identify and fix issues with existing reporting including any issues in data, integrations, batch processing and performance
• Support a large user base in resolving reported issues
• Participate in administration, upgrades, patching and improvement of deployed technologies
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
• Mentor junior resources on the team and ensure quality.
• Conduct training sessions for users of Business Intelligence solutions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent job experience.
• 7+ years of experience in delivering enterprise wide Business Intelligence solutions.
• 5+ years of extensive working experience on Looker in the areas of Development, Modelling and Administration.
• Strong ability to understand and analyze data using complex SQL queries
• Strong understanding of relational concepts and knowledge of databases like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Google Big-Query etc.
• Experience in Troubleshooting, optimization, and tuning of MicroStrategy objects and SQL processes in support of reporting
• Worked in MicroStrategy applications including reports, dashboards/dossiers, data visualization, data discovery, mobile, data marts and cubes
• Preferred familiarity with other BI technologies like MicroStrategy & Tableau
• Preferred exposure to Google cloud or similar cloud platforms
• Preferred experience in Retail / Supply Chain industry
• Preferred Looker certifications Developer and/or Administration streams.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies using Atlassian
