The Associate Video Editor reports to the Video Manager and plays a key role in telling the Express story through video content. They will turn raw footage into finished videos for placement across all channels, such as paid media, social media, and owned channels like express.com, emails, and internal communications.

• Creatively edit content and ads for social media channels e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube
• Find and apply music, copy, graphics, sound effects, etc. to videos.
• Color correct footage when needed.
• Utilize brand-right editing techniques and adhere to established best practices for the distribution channels
• Make versions and resizes of edits and output final versions to channel specifications
• Prepare projects for archival and assist with long-term archival of projects and files
• Collaborate with team members to understand content needs specific to each distribution channel
• On occasion, the Associate Video Editor will be asked to help the Videographer on set, including duties like assistant camera, digital imaging tech, or production assistant.
• Stay current and up to date on the latest video trends within social media

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication or equivalent
• 3 years experience in video editing and production
• Experience in marketing and advertising
• Advanced in Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
• Proficient with other Adobe Creative Suite apps including After Effects, Photoshop, etc
• Proficient with computers, digital asset management, and Mac OS
• Strong portfolio
