Responsibilities

Job Summary 

 

The Manager of Converged Data ServicesTeam will lead the technical direction, design, development, delivery, and leadership of existing solutions as well as strategic new Technology initiatives. This person will play a significant role in strategic and tactical direction of key projects and will engage cross-functionally at all levels of the organization. This position requires business or technical expertise in network, communications platforms and solutions, and extensive expertise in various technologies such as switching, routing, wireless, voice platforms, software defined networking and vendor management. The desired person will be a Leader and mentor to the Team that is willing and able to and willing to jump in when needed. They will lead with emotional intelligence and is expected to be available and involved with resolving complex technical challenges within the enterprise. The Manager will work directly with our key vendor and business partnerships in support of the existing infrastructure and road map to keep Express on the leading edge to support the ever-expanding business initiative and expanding application portfolio. This person will be responsible for taking part in the collaborative process of creating and supporting annual capital and expense budgets.

 

 

Leadership

Supervision of Technical staff supplying coaching, mentoring, and guidance to support all infrastructure technology initiatives Globally. Work closely with cross-functionally business partners and IT peers to fully understand business requirements and implement long-term solution to enable business growth. Vendor/Partner management. Deliver operational and administrative mentorship to IT Systems Administrators in support of critical production systems. Plan, take part in, and maintain capital and expense budgets.

 

Architecture & Design

Lead development of voice and data systems design, implementation, and support recommendations to information technology partners and IT leadership with an emphasis on data security, availability, integrity, and optimal performance.

 

Infrastructure Operability

Recommend and lead execute of distributed infrastructure hardware and software configuration, installation, patching, integration, upgrades, and performance tuning of multiple environments while leveraging vendor relationships and expertise as required.

 

Operations Support

Daily operations related to the Distributed environments such as capacity management, performance monitoring and reporting, provisioning, and network systems connectivity. Ability to provide after hours (on-call) support and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

 

Risk, Compliance, Sustainability and Process Improvement

Ability to consistently adhere to change and incident management policies when implementing system changes and addressing problem resolution.

 

Job Requirements

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 8-10 years of equivalent experience
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of IT experience focused on LAN/WAN Data Services; minimum of 8-10 years of telecommunications/networking experience; 5-8 years' experience with IP Telephony/ VoIP networking technology/Data/Unified Communications Technologies
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of managing telco services providers for WAN, phone, and other services.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 year managing a Team of 5-10 data & voice Engineers.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with web-based call center voice solutions 2-3 years’ experience
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed
  • Cisco-based networking solutions Call Manager 3-5 years’ experience
  • Experience with interconnecting/interfacing campus networks with multiple public cloud and SaaS providers
  • Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
  • SDWAN & other Software Defined platforms 2-3 years’ experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detail-minded
  • MPLS and internet-based networking experience 5-10 years' experience
  • Experience with VMWare NSX
  • Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
  • Experience with Cisco DCI for Layer 2 for layer 2 extension
  • Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
