Job Summary 

Responsible for building processes that support store workforce management and business insight to drive sales growth and maximize profit by collaborating with cross functional partners, field leaders and store teams. Responsible for:

  • Leading development of retail and outlet processes and training materials
  • Creating workforce management strategies that simplify to allow stores to allocate the appropriate labor to support the customer experience and also manage payroll cost
  • Influencing field leaders to drive workforce management and business insight execution
  • Delivering budgeted labor costs 

Essential Functions

Workforce Management Process - 

  • Responsible for leading the development of processes that deliver desired results and support achieving sales, payroll and customer experience metrics
  • Strategize with team, cross functional partners and field in defining Workforce Management processes
  • Manage testing, enhancement and configuration prioritization for stores reporting and the current labor scheduling system
  • Lead team to:
    • Determine payroll needs for store tasks including floorsets, promotional changes, real estate activity, etc.
    • Establish field policies, procedures, and best practices for effective execution of workforce management
    • Define and track compliance for store management complements
    • Communicate and address workforce management with the field and cross functional partners
    • Define user requirements for store system upgrades or new systems

Workforce Management Execution - 

  • Define workforce management deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Manage team in refining processes through testing, development, communication and support of field tools such as manuals, job aids, reports, ongoing education and one-on-one support
  • Communicate and manage project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner
  • Lead team to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Manage Workforce Management and reporting projects within budget


Performance Management - 

  • Develop reporting and analytics to support KPIs and the continued improvement of operational effectiveness
  • Manage Dashboard/Scorecard solutions
  • Support adhoc analytics requests
  • Manage Incentive goal setting, tracking and reporting  

Cross Functional Operational Support - 

  • Lead and influence other function of the organization to build processes that support the successful execution of in store workforce management. Key departments include:
    • Finance
    • Human Resources
    • Information Technology
    • Visual
  • Serve as an expert resource to other departments regarding workforce management issues and special projects
  • Participate on project teams impacting workforce management
  • Provide expertise and obtain field input where needed
  • Partner and communicate with Store Operations leaders on key decisions


Job Qualifications 

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: 5 - 7
  • Percentage of Travel: 15% - 30%
  • Type of Travel: Overnight


Preferred Qualifications (skills and abilities)

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced in Kronos and Microstrategy
  • Proficient in Word and data query tools
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to effectively partner cross-functionally and influence others at all levels of the organization
